Of the several types of water filters, reverse osmosis filters solve some problems better than others. Simple in concept the reverse osmosis filter depends on a key part that really makes it work. That key part is the membrane that performs the filtering and explains why these systems work so well. Simply put, the filter membrane excludes many types of pollutants.
Water pressure pushes a portion of the water molecules through the fine mesh filter. Part of the water is rejected and along with it many types of pollution get stopped at the filter too. Those particles go along with waste water and are washed away instead of being captured in the filter membrane itself.
These filters remove organic chemicals as well as toxic minerals. They remove really virtually all minerals. That's true of the main membrane filter.

With all those different filter approaches taken together, you get water that's free of most any harmful elements or agents.
